Chitlins at the Diner

While planning textured, patterned, and optic related work which embodies my focus, an interest in "Chitterlings", commonly known by African Americans simply as "Chitlins", visually caught my awareness and set a work in motion. Chitterlings are usually the small intestines of a pig which are consumed throughout the globe. During sketching, unsolicited comments were influencing in reorganizing a few of the various side dishes served along with theses innards as a historically unique dish in African American culture. Immediately, this additional painting took precedence thereby deferring the optic version. However optics, were fused into this composition.
